Bot Stone

Bot Stone is an all around grooming stone. This rough pumice like material works well to shed hair, dried mud, dander and bring out the shine in coats when used daily.

The bonus is that the texture of this stone can easily scrape the tiny yellow eggs which the bot fly lays on a horses legs. When the horse licks or scratches his leg the small eggs are ingested and pass through the horse in the flies normal cycle of breeding. The fly develops in the manure and the process starts all over. A horse owner who scrapes the yellow fly eggs off his horses legs with a bot stone and after frost worms for bots will eliminate this variety of the fly around his horses.
