The goal is to protect the nutrient value of the hay but let the storage area have air and ventilation. The new reinforced hem with grommets every foot makes this a durable protection that can stand up to opening and closing of the storage area. Compost Covers
This porous, durable fabric with grommets for tying down is the best choice for curing manure or mulch piles. It will decrease the time that the contents will reach 140’ F.  When fields and stall material is composted and covered the flies are deterred from breeding, the rain can go through the netting and the black fabric will increase the interior temperature for breakdown.  The result is rich compost for gardens, tree, or to spread on pastures. The area behind the saddle presents a difficult spot for horses to reach with a swish of the tail. During the time of year when flies are biting this area, it is unnerving to the horse.
